Applications for the inaugural edition of PHOTOFAIRS Hong Kong are open. Taking place March 26-30, 2025 (VIP Preview March 25) at the Central Harbourfront, PHOTOFAIRS Hong Kong is the destination for photography during the most important art week in Asia, and a vibrant addition to the city’s cultural scene.

The fair welcomes presentations of contemporary photography, moving-image, installations and new technologies (such as VR and AI) and classic photographic prints across three sectors: Main, featuring galleries showcasing modern and contemporary photography and photo-based art; Focus, dedicated to solo and dual artist presentations; and Digital, open to galleries presenting artists working at the intersection of photography and new technologies.

Selection for participation is based on the curatorial strength and premise of the gallery’s application proposal, exhibition program and roster of represented artists. Criteria such as the quality of the artworks, previous art fair presentations, and any associated projects undertaken by the gallery are central to a successful application.
